How energy is transferred between states of matter!!!
Solids- Heat energy is conducted through the solid in this way. As atoms of the solid gain kinetic energy the temperature of the solid increases.
Liquids- Convection occurs when particles with a lot of heat energy in a liquid or gas move and take place of particles with less heat energy. Heat energy is transferred from hot places to cooler places by convection. Liquids and gases expand when they are heated.
Gases- Gas is a common state of matter. Compound gases contain a combination\of different atoms. Pure gases are made up of one atom. In gases, the atoms are much more spread out than solids and liquids and the atoms collide randomly with one another.
